Brackenberry Cottage

We bought our holiday cottage with a clear vision: to create a welcoming place to stay in the New Forest, where guests could relax and enjoy the area, all delivered to a consistently high standard. When we took on the property, it needed work, which gave us the opportunity to create something special.

We carefully renovated and refreshed the cottage, focusing on quality, comfort, and attention to detail throughout. Every decision was made with guests in mind, from the layout and furnishings to the practical touches that make a stay easy and enjoyable. Our goal was to ensure the cottage felt well cared for and met high standards, both visually and in how it functions.

Once complete, we launched the cottage as a holiday let on Airbnb and VRBO. The response was immediately positive, with guests regularly commenting on the standard of the accommodation, thoughtful design, and overall experience. This quickly led to strong bookings and excellent reviews.

Now in its fourth year as a holiday let, the cottage remains a highly successful and well-established property, attracting many repeat guests. Managing it through Airbnb and VRBO has given us valuable first-hand experience in presentation, pricing, guest communication, and maintaining high standards at every stage.

This journey has given me a genuine understanding of what it takes to run a successful holiday let, from renovation through to ongoing management — experience we bring to everything we do.
